AMERICAN SERVICE STYLE
American Service is a simple and informal form of service, It is also known as a Plated Service. In this American Service Style, dishes are plated in the kitchen by the kitchen staff or chef and placed at the guest's table from the left hand side, drink and clearing should be from the right hand side
It is a very easy service, By this service, dishes are placed nicely in the kitchen, and the server moves clockwise when the food plates are present.
Dishes are served like Prawn cocktail, salads, Masala dosa, Vada Sambar, Burgers, Ice cream, etc, This service followed in busy areas and when is service need to be very fast.
THE FEATURES OF AMERICAN SERVICE STYLE
1. American Service is the quick and requires less labor-intensive service and little space
2. This service is followed at diner or family-style restaurant, coffee shop & food counter
3. Pre-plating or Pre-setting of table must be done with silverware, but this service require 3 covers up since most of the food of the meal is served and garnished on a plate.
3. The preparation of food is completed in the kitchen except salad and bread and butter.
5. American service requires only one server one area to serve the meal but with an experienced serving skill.
